Publishing through Office 2000

Follow the steps below to create, publish, or save documents in a WebDAV directory.

To create a document in a WebDAV directory
 
  1. Create a document in any Office 2000 application.
  2. From the File menu, click Save As.
  3. In the left column of the Save As dialog box, click My Network Places.
  4. To publish your document, select the shortcut to the correct WebDAV directory or type the URL, and click OK.
To edit an existing document in a WebDAV directory


  1. Connect to the WebDAV directory that contains the document you want to edit.

    To connect to a WebDAV directory, see Publishing through Windows Whistler or Publishing through Internet Explorer 5.

  2. Open the document with the appropriate Office 2000 application, and modify the document.
  3. Save the document on the WebDAV directory, close the document to release the lock on it, and exit the application.
