Timeout Settings Locations in IIS Snap
Timeout settings can be accessed for various features from
different property sheets of the IIS snap-in. This topic describes
how to set timeouts for ASP Script Timeout, ASP Session Timeout,
Connection Timeout, CGI Script Timeout, and log the processor use
of a Web site.
To change the AspScriptTimeout value
- In the IIS snap-in, select the
Web site or the starting point directory of an application.
- Open the directory's property sheets, and click the Home Directory, Virtual Directory,
or Directory tab.
- Click the Configuration button, and click the
App Options tab.
- In the ASP Script Timeout, type in the
desired value.
- In the IIS snap-in, select the
Web site or the starting point directory of an application.
- Open the directory's property sheets, and click the Home Directory, Virtual Directory,
or Directory tab.
- Click the Configuration button, and click the
App Options tab.
- In the Session Timeout text box, type in the
desired value.
To change the ConnectionTimeout value
- In the IIS snap-in, select the
Web site or the starting point directory of an application.
- Open the directory's property sheets, and click the Web Site tab.
- In the Connection Timeout text box, type in
the desired value.
To change the CGITimeout value
- In the IIS snap-in, select the
Web site or the starting point directory of an application.
- Open the directory's property sheets, and click the Home Directory, Virtual Directory,
or Directory tab.
- Click the Configuration button, and click the
Process Options tab.
- In the CGI Script Timeout text box, type the
desired value.
To log the processor use of a Web site
- In the IIS snap-in, select the
Web site on which you want to log processor use.
- Open the Web site's property sheets, and click the Performance tab.
- Select Enable process throttling, and type
the percentage of the CPU time that you want this site to be
limited to.
- If you want to enable CpuLimitPriority and CpuLimitProcStop,
select Enforce limits.
